Customer Reviews
Decent, but shipping was slow
grabbed a game boy dmg screen lens replacement here, price was ok, kinda like console5. everything arrived fine but shipping to the UK took longer than expected, like almost 3 weeks. good product tho.
Decent purchase, small issue
I bought a Game Boy Color Q5 IPS kit and a new Game Boy Color shell. The kit itself was great, installed fine and the screen looks amazing. Shipping was pretty quick, got here in about five days. My only minor gripe was the shell color was a little different from the picture online, a touch lighter. Not a big deal, but something to note if you're very particular about exact shades. Overall, I'd say it was a good experience for the price.
Awesome parts, so happy!
I just upgraded my Game Boy Color with a Q5 IPS kit and a new shell from here, and it's incredible! The screen is so vibrant, and the shell feels super high quality. My old GBC is like a brand new console. Everything fit perfectly, and the instructions online helped a lot. I'm definitely coming back for more mods for my other handhelds. You guys are the best!
Decent parts, some minor issues
I ordered a Game Gear capacitor kit and a Sega Nomad screen mod. The capacitor kit was excellent, and my Game Gear is working great now. The Nomad screen mod, however, had one very tiny dead pixel, barely noticeable, but still there. Installation instructions were clear for both. Shipping was fairly standard, arrived within the estimated time frame. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about tracking. Overall, a good experience, but that little pixel was a bummer.
Good quality, fast shipping
I ordered a Game Boy Advance SP shell a few weeks ago. It came super fast, like three days later. The shell felt good, not cheap or anything. Definitely happy with it, my old GBA SP looks brand new now. It was easy to put on too.
Awesome screen mod
I just got my FunnyPlaying IPS kit for my Game Boy Pocket and oh my god, it's incredible! Installation was straightforward with their guides, and the display is so bright and crisp. My old Game Boy Pocket feels completely new. I'm already planning my next order for a Game Boy Advance IPS screen kit. Seriously impressed!
New GBA shell, looks great
Got a new Game Boy Advance SP shell for my old console. It arrived quickly and was easy enough to install, even for me. My GBA SP looks brand new now, which is pretty cool. Happy with how it turned out.
Reliable for modding supplies
This is like my fifth order from Retro Game Repair Shop. This time, I grabbed a USB-C rechargeable battery mod and a Game Boy Advance SP hinge. As always, the parts arrived exactly as described and fit perfectly. I've never had an issue with compatibility or quality. They consistently deliver good stuff. It's why I keep coming back whenever I need to fix up another old console.
Detailed Game Boy DMG screen lens order
I placed an order for a Game Boy DMG screen lens. The website was easy to navigate, and I found the part quickly. Shipping took about a week to arrive, which was within the estimated timeframe. The lens itself was well-packaged in a small padded envelope, preventing any scratches during transit. It fit perfectly onto my console, and the adhesive backing felt strong. The clarity of the lens was excellent, making the screen much easier to see. I didn't need to contact customer support, so I can't comment on that aspect, but the overall process from ordering to receiving and installing the part was smooth and straightforward. I would recommend them for small parts like this.
Good deal on GBA parts
I was looking for a Game Boy Advance SP battery and a replacement lens, and this store had a pretty good bundle discount when I added both to my cart. The total price was better than other places I checked. Shipping wasn't free, but the overall cost was still good for what I got. It felt like a solid purchase without overspending.
